Robert Muchamore: CLASS A

James Adams was a Cherub agent, a British children undercover police.  He was on mission to infiltrate the drug gang KMG with Nicole, Kerry and Kyle.  They were told to befriend with Keith Moore’s children, children of KMG leader.  At last they succeed and Keith was caught for being a drug dealer.
Through this book, it told us to resist temptation through Nicole.  She was tempted to snort cocaine by Junior Moore and snorted it while James almost snorted but did not.  Then, Nicole got sick and was found snorting cocaine and was expelled while James stayed. Being a Cherub agent, you cannot keep a friendship between people you met during your mission.  It’s really a hard job to do that when you met a great friend or maybe your friend is injured.  During the mission, James met Junior and became great friends.  However, in the end of the mission, they got into a fight with some of Keith’s supplier.  James managed to escape and called John, a M15 agent while Junior was badly injured.  In order for James to be safe and to keep his identity secret, he then was quickly sent back to Cherub campus and could never visit the injured Junior again.  It was really sad to leave something you like, but sometimes you need to do that in order to do a more important thing.
It is very interesting to see children being spies and how they deal with different targets.  Also, it is very exciting to see how they fight with them.

James Dashner: MAZE RUNNER

One of the themes of this book is to trust one another.  When Thomas first entered Glade, Gally and Ben, who had gone through the Changing (a process which would heal somebody who was stung by a Griever while their memories will be bought back), both said that Thomas was bad.  Then, Alby was stung by the Griever and went through the Changing.  Actually, brave Thomas ran to the maze to help Minho and sick Alby just before the walls closed though he knew that he would be killed and would maybe be eaten by the Griever.  Luckily, they all survived and as Thomas was heroic, he was not killed, but was put in the Slammer, which was like a prison, for one day.
Also, I understand that co-operation is very important.  Like the last part when Thomas and Teresa need to go to the Griever Hole to type in the code in order to get out of Glade, all the other Gladers need to fight the horrible Grievers or even sacrifice themselves in order to help Thomas Teresa to get into the Griever Hole.  Alby, their leader is one of the greatest examples.  A few days before their escape, Gally came and said that the Griever would pick and kill one of the Gladers.  Alby thought that the Griever would just pick on one of them and let the others in, so he threw himself towards the swarm of gigantic Griever and just let them kill him.  Unluckily, he was wrong and at last the Griever killed half of them.  I was even shocked when Chuck, Thomas's best friend, sacrificed himself for Thomas when Gally threw a dagger towards Thomas.  Chuck was like Thomas's shield dived in front of him to protect him.  It was really touching.
This book is the best one ever.  I love it very much.  Every bits of this book contains surprises you will never expect.

Gregg Olsen: BETRAYAL

This book talks about the investigation of the murder of Olivia Grant.  Firstly, Gregg Olsen, the author, told us how Olivia was killed in the Halloween party.  Throughout all the investigation, it was told that Brianna was the prime suspect in everyone’s eyes, but when Brianna was found killed, people at first thought she committed suicide.  They were wrong and it was Drew who killed her and he killed her for Brianna’s mom, whom he had loved.
Through this book, Gregg Olsen told us what betrayal is which is found that actually Brianna’s mom wanted to murder her daughter just for the sake of the insurance money after her death and she asked Drew, Brianna’s boyfriend to murder her at Halloween.  However, Drew mistook Olivia as Brianna and killed her instead.  Then, he tricked Brianna into escaping and strangled, tortured her to death.  I was really shocked to see that Brianna’s mom, who left the family for another husband, betrayed her daughter just for money.  Also, due to her selfishness, innocent Olivia was killed by mistake.
Also, this book taught us not to see people by appearance.  Though Brianna act if she didn't care about the murder and everyone thought that she was the killer, but unexpectedly it’s her mom.
The way Gregg Olsen wrote in the eyes of Olivia Grant at the murder scene made me feel totally into the book and also made me curious on the murderer.  The plot of this book is also really marvelous as it created an ending of which is unexpected.  Therefore, I really love Betrayal and hope you can enjoy it too.

James Patterson: FANG

This is really a good book and I enjoy it a lot.  It talks about that scientists created some hybrids of people and other animal.  In this book, it talks about hybrids of human and avian, resulting people with wings.  As the world is getting worse days after days, scientists were trying to create some new kind of mankind, who could survive in even these enhanced people are destined to save the world and were named The Flock, members included Maximum (Max), Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy and Angel.  Later, Dr. Hans brought a new winged boy, Dylan to the flocks.  It was said that Dylan was made to be Max’s perfect half, but Max believed that Fang was her soul mate and her perfect half.
I’ve learnt to sacrifice myself like Fang.  Although Fang missed the Flocks, his only friends, but for the good of the Flock and for his one and only love, Max, he left the flock without informing anyone because without him leaving, Max can only focus on him, leaving her flocks behind.  If I am Fang, I am sure I cannot do that with Dylan in the flock because I am afraid that Dylan will take Max. Fang is totally Max soul mate.  He loves her so much.  s
Also, working as a team is very important.  As Fang and Max fell in love, they sometimes wanted some private chat and leave the Flock to chat.  One time, they left the Flock again and the other member of the Flock is attacked by Erasers, human and wolf hybrid.  As Fang and Max were the best fighters in the team, without them in the fight will be a great disadvantage.  Luckily, Dylan, the new member of the Flock was a terrific fighter.  At last, the Erasers were killed.  Through this incident, it teaches us that sometimes you need to be in the team, not only with one or two person in it and team spirit is very important.
Through this book, I’ve learnt the importance of global warming. If we don’t protect our world well, science will be needed and some of us need to be evolved.   Sometimes when the experiment failed, it may turn really bad, like Iggy, scientists wanted to enhance his night vision but failed and eventually, he turned blind.  In real life, this may cause injury or even death.  Even if the experiments are successful, and some kind of new people are created, e.g. human and wolf hybrid.  Though they will be enhanced with different powers, still some of their genes are actually from wolves.  What do carnivore like to taste?  Fresh blood is the answer.  When these kind of enhanced people are so lack of the taste of blood, what will they do?  They’ll be uncontrollable and may kill people.  Therefore, we should protect our planet Earth, so no enhanced people will be needed

Richie Tankersley Cusick: THE UNSEEN 1

Mysterious, scary, the Unseen 1 which contains two books of the series including It Begins and Rest in Peace.  It described how Lucy Denninson, a high school teen whose mother was dead, moved to live with her aunt and step-cousin Angela.  During her first few days in her stays, when she found herself being stalked by a stranger at night, she escaped to a cemetery and suddenly fell into an open grave.  She then saw a girl being stabbed and was in her last minutes.  The girl then grabbed her hands hard, actually transferring some mysterious power to her and told her not to tell anyone about it.  Knowing that someone was murdered, Lucy was struggling to tell or not to.  She also received terrible nightmares and visions, making her unable to sleep well every night.  She also felt that someone was stalking her.    When this mysterious Bryon appeared, who was said to help her, she told everything to him and finally figured out that the murdered girl was Katherine, Bryon's sister, who was believed to be a fortune-telling and crazy girl.  But then Angela disappeared with a stranger.
Through reading The Unseen 1, learning to treasure things around you is one of the moral I have learnt from it.  Lucy just met Byron for a few days and told her most of her secrets to him, but then he killed through a car accident while Lucy was taken away to be healed by a secret person.  Lucy regretted a lot for not telling Bryon all of her secrets so they could have figured out more stuff behind this secret.  It was just such a pity that Byron was killed.
This book is really kind of interesting and mysterious, as the author said all the time.  It was kind of crazy for Lucy to let a stranger, who blindfolded her, kissed her without even knowing who he was.  I kind of wonder why didn't Lucy call home and tell her aunt that she was being stalked at the beginning of the book.  If that's what happened, she won't even end up receiving those horrible 'gift' from Katherine and would have lived a normal life.  I really pity Lucy though for trying to warn people to be careful when she received visions about a person's death.  Those people like Wanda never listened to her and thought she was crazy.  She was then murdered and Lucy was being questioned by the police as if she was one of the suspects.  I love this book and extremely recommend this book to you, as you should have known how I read it from day till night to finish it.  Though the words in this book is kind of huge and I thought that it was a children book at first, it still suits me a lot for its mysterious, attractive plot.  I am now totally longing to finish the second book.
